Saline County ARES® assists "served" agencies, such as the Office of Emergency Management, the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army, or other agencies in support of unfortunate events and public service events.
Unfortunate events that prompt activation of this group include severe weather, natural disasters, and more serious unnatural disasters that may or may not require additional training and or certifications.
To become part of the Saline County ARES® group, you must be a licensed amateur radio operator, have a minimum amount of radio equipment, knowledge of proper net protocols and be willing to provide a service to your community.
Saline County ARES® has an on-air radio net every Monday evening at 7:00 pm on the 146.805 repeater, negative offset and a 131.8 tone. The exception being the first Monday of the month when we have a face to face meeting at 6:00 pm at the Saline County Regional Airport, 1100 Hill Farm Road, Bryant, Arkansas 72022
